The Ghost Movie Review
The Ghost Movie Review Nagarjuna is one of the heroes who do diverse films in Tollywood. There is no genre that this ‘Manmathudu’ has not touched as the king of action movies. However, none of the action thrillers that Nagarjuna has tried in the past few years have impressed the audience. However, with faith in a talented director like Praveen Sattaru, he once again acted in an action thriller. That is ‘The Ghost’. The film hit the screens on October 5 as a Dussehra gift.
Vikram (Nagarjuna) works as an Interpol officer in Dubai. He quits his job at Interpol to bust the underworld. On the other hand, in Ooty, Anupama Nair (Gul Panag) becomes the chairman of the Nair Group of Industries after the death of her husband. She has a daughter named Aditi (Anikha Surendran).
Vikram comes to Ooty from Dubai to protect them. What happened after that? What is the relationship between Vikram and Anu? How did Vikram find out who the enemies were? Did he save Anu and Aditi? That is the movie.
The story of ‘Ghost’ is nothing new. There are many such stories in Telugu. However, director Praveen Sattaru tried to present this story in a new way with his narration. That effort was a bit of a workout. The movie started slowly.. after half an hour it went into the original story. From there, it was full of action for about two hours. Starting with Nagarjuna’s introduction scene in the Arabian desert.
The theater was resounding with action scenes throughout the second half. It has to be said that this is ‘The Most Violent Action Thriller’ in Nagarjuna’s career. The director showed the bloodshed in a range. Audiences who love action movies will love ‘The Ghost’.
Family audience may not like this movie due to violence and gore in the movie. Along with the violence, the emotions are also not matured properly, so ‘The Ghost’ will not reach the audience who likes family films. Although the director does not focus much on emotions, the action sequences are well designed. It doesn’t feel like there is an unnecessary action sequence anywhere.
Nagarjuna also tore up the action scenes with his stylish performance. The pre-interval sequence and the interval bang are over. From there, the action peaked in the second half. Nagarjuna played with guns and swords. The flash back of how Interpol officer Vikram became ‘The Ghost’ is also the most violent. And the climax reminds of the movies ‘Khaidi’ and ‘Vikram’.
Nagarjuna carried the entire film on his shoulders. From near romance with Sonal Chauhan at the beginning of the film to his knife-wielding beheading in the climax, Nagarjuna’s swag continued on a range. Looking at Nagarjuna’s action performance, he doesn’t look like a man past 60 years. so easy,
They did it stylishly. This is the most violent role in his career. Sonal Chouhan in the role of Priya is popular with him. For the first time, she acted in a leading role in Telugu. She competed with Nagarjuna in the action scenes.
Bollywood actress Gul Panag did not make much impact in the role of Anu. Especially the Telugu dubbing was not set right for her. It would have been better if the director had chosen a senior southern actress like Nadia and Kushboo for this role. Anikha Surendran was introduced to the Telugu audience with the movie ‘Viswasam’.
Aditi did justice to the role. Like a daughter who doesn’t care about her mother’s words. Jayaprakash, Srikanth Iyengar, Manish Chaudhary, Ravi Varma and others have acted according to the scope of their roles.
The technical standards of the film are very good. With Mukesh’s cinematography added to Praveen Sattaru’s take, the action scenes on the silver screen came out very well. The cameraman showed the Arabian desert and the Western Ghats in Ooty very beautifully. Music director Mark K Robin should also be talked about here. The background score given by him elevates the action scenes a lot have done Even though there is background music to make the theater reverberate,
The dialogues have been mixed in such a way that they are clearly understandable. The new music score by Bharat-Saurabh is good. Gone as part of the story. Editor Dharmendra Kakarala cut the film in an engaging manner. Overall, this is a thriller made with the audience in mind who likes action movies.
