Indian intelligence agency RAW is working on a mission to prevent terrorist attacks by Pakistan in India and it is taken up by RAW agent Riyaz Pathan (Saqib Saleem). Riyaz only reports to his boss Chief Ashwini (Rajesh Tailang) and he is also his favorite. RAW deputy director Zorawar (Iqbal Khan) doesn’t like Riaz at all.

The mission begins and Riyaz along with his associates kill some terrorists, in which the brother of terrorist Tariq (Ankur Bhatia) also dies. After this, the tension between the two countries increases and bomb blasts start happening in India.

In such a situation, the Raw Chief comes to know that there is someone in the agency who is leaking all the information and only after that many people including Chief Ashwini are killed in another bomb blast. Now on the shoulders of RAW agent Riyaz Pathan, the entire responsibility of completing this mission and preventing the bomb blasts to the terrorists falls and Divya (Shriya Pilgaonkar) supports them in this.

The question is whether Riyaz will be able to complete the mission or will he be killed. Who is it in the agency who is leaking all the information. Will terrorist Tariq be caught and will Zorawar support Riyaz or not? To know all this, you will have to watch the 8-episode webseries ‘Crackdown’ and each episode is of 30 minutes.

Apoorva Lakhia, who has directed several films, is making his digital debut through the webseries ‘Crackdown’. He has not introduced any new story on screen. We’ve seen this kind of story in the past in several series like Special Ops, Family Man and Bard of Blood, but the series could have been even better if there were a few changes to it.

In order to maintain the action and suspense, the most important link in the series got weakened due to slow story. The background music of the webseries is very good and it is shot very well.

Performance

Whenever Rajesh Tailang comes on screen, he leaves a different mark, even if his role is small. Rajesh Tailang has done complete justice to his character. So while talking about Saqib Saleem, he put his whole life into action but failed to play the role of a RAW agent with full activeness.

On the other hand, Shriya Pilgaonkar has played her role well. Talking about Iqbal Khan, he has done a very good job and has presented his role very well on screen. Akur Bhatia has also done a good job as the villain. Apart from this, all the other stars of the series played their character properly.

If you do not have anything special to watch this week, then you can watch the webseries ‘Crackdown’ once. The series has enough action, thriller and suspense that you will love it. Its story is a bit slow and it disappoints.

If the series had picked up a good pace from the beginning, it could have been even more fun. If you ignore the pace of the story, then director Apoorva Lakhia’s webseries ‘Crackdown’ has a lot of twists that will tie it till the end and its second season will also come so you can watch it once.
